‘The phoenix hope, can wing her way through the desert skies, and still defying fortune’s spite; revive from ashes and rise.’ ~ Miguel de Cervantes

phoenix1The image of the phoenix inspires us the same way our courageous, capable, special needs German Shepherds do. They rise from the ashes of their former lives and flourish with SGSR foster care, going on to be everything German Shepherd Dogs should be: loyal, noble, intelligent and devoted to the families that see past their disabilities.

SGSR’s Phoenix Dog Program is committed to helping German Shepherd Dogs with birth defects, amputations, developmental problems, genetic disorders and degenerative disorders find the lives and forever homes that every dog deserves. Our Phoenix Dog Program is born from the special place we have in our hearts for the ‘throw away’ puppies and ‘worthless’ dogs that need us. These dogs inspire, move, and rescue us as much as we do them.

Picture3Please consider opening your hearts to one of our Phoenix dogs. If you are unable to, please help share our dedication to finding them the families they deserve: like our SGSR Phoenix Dog Program page on Facebook and share our updates/photos.

Donations to our Phoenix Dog Fund will support our Phoenix Dog Program and help give these dogs the surgeries, physical therapy, specialized equipment and medications they need. Our Phoenix Dog Amazon Wish List contains items that we would love to have to help with rehabilitating and caring for these babies.

If an SGSR Phoenix dog has adopted you, our Program Director at sgsrphoenix@gmail.com would LOVE updates!
